The Gillis Centre is committed to being accessible to everyone and, although this is a listed building because of its historical significance, we have made several modifications to improve accessibility for guests with a mobility impairment.  We realise how important it is that the accomodation meets your requirements and are happy to answer questions you
have in order to ensure that what we offer is right for you.

- the bedrooms are on the first and second floors, but there is a lift. If you wish, we can book a room for you near the lift. The en-suite shower rooms have a step-in shower.

- there is one bedroom which is wheelchair-accessible.  It is Category Two i.e. some assistance may be required..

This bedroom has two beds and an en-suite accessible shower room.

Full details:
- there is a separate, ramped entrance to the Gillis Centre, with a bell so that our staff can come to meet you and to take your luggage

- there is designated car-parking space close to this ramped entrance. The car park is tarmac.

- breakfast is served in the lower floor, accessed by the lift. This is self-service, with everything within easy reach of a wheelchair-user. If required, staff are on hand from 0800hrs.

- there are wheelchair-accessible toilets by reception and off the breakfast room

- there are paths in our garden and several benches.

Our accessible bedroom has:
- twin beds

- the beds are 23" off the floor

- the floor is carpeted

The en-suite shower-room has:
- a walk-in shower

- a seat in the shower

- a toilet with grab rails

We ensure that our guests have the emergency telephone number in case this is required.

Meeting rooms:  A couple of our meeting rooms are wheelchair accessible, so if you are attending a conference, let us know or tell the conference organiser.
